Important Update: Adjusted Trash Collection and Storm Debris Guidelines

Routes are running as scheduled with some limitations on grass clipping collection. Grass clippings need to be in clear bags or the brown paper bags so we can determine that it is not storm debris. Household trash should be placed in white bags to clearly distinguish from storm debris. Please note that cleaning your yard after the storm is considered storm debris and will need to be separated from your regular trash.

It can take a while to we get back to normal.

Best Trash extends sympathy for all of those affected by the storm. We understand that this was a catastrophic event. It is encouraged to have residents contact their Precinct or County to see when storm debris collection will happen. Please note that storm debris is not part of the normal heavy trash collection for Best Trash. Unfortunately, due to the massive scale of this catastrophe, we are not able to provide any free storm debris collection.

Please be patient as we are working hard to get through the day and there may be some delays in getting serviced on your scheduled day.

There are three options:

  1. Residents can wait until the county can come out.
  2. Residents can email a picture of their debris and we can quote a special one time collection-please include your district and address.
  3. You may also call a tree trimming service for removal of the tree branches

Notice of Residential Smart Water Meter Installation

Dear Customer,

Rankin Road West MUD partnered with Water WasteWater Management Services and Accurate Meter to bring smart water meters to our district to modernizing its operations and technology infrastructure to improve its customers’ experience. The new smart meters are a more accurate and intelligent tool for water conservation and will greatly improve our water system’s operational efficiency. Our goal is to reduce water loss due to leaks, improve visibility of water usage trends, and accelerate reporting and handling of problems.

Smart water meters will enable the automated transmission of customers’ water meter readings, providing them with accurate, near-real-time data on their water usage. Through a user-friendly portal, customers will have near-real-time water usage information at their fingertips and receive leak alerts, thereby reducing bills and saving money. This technology will help customers better manage water usage and protect against high bills.

Rankin Road West MUD will be sharing regular updates in District website to make sure residents are in the know about the important information of the smart meter portal.

Smart water Meter installation is schedule to begin August 9, 2023 all existing meter will be replaced within the next two months. Accurate Meter will leave door tags upon installation of new smart meters. The water to the property will need to be shut off for at least 30 minutes during the installation of the new smart water meters.

There is no cost to customers for the project and our communities’ drinking water will remain safe to drink throughout the project.

Installing smart water meter infrastructure provides water customers peace of mind and convenient on[1]demand access to timely consumption information, automated leak alerts, and powerful budgeting tools to help manage consumption and improve water stewardship. We look forward to the successful completion of this project and appreciate your cooperation throughout the process.

Residents do not need to take any action! Accurate Meter will notify residents for the installation of the new smart meters for all homes. The District’s goal is to reduce water loss due to leaks, improve visibility of water usage trends, water conservation and accelerate reporting and handling of problems.
